Pass The Baton is a store in the fashionable Omotesando area of Tokyo that started selling used stuff in a very new and very personal way. The founder and owner Mr. Masamichi Toyama believes that knowing the history of an item adds value for the purchaser of a used item. Every object on sale therefore is attached to a small card giving details on the previous owner and the history of the object. This give the purchase of a used object a very personal touch and sets the store apart from other used item shops.
The video below shows an interview with Toyama-san where he explains more about his philosophy around the history and spirit of used objects.
