Japan is a country full of creative designers. Here is a selection of Japan designers we liked very much at NIHON ICHIBAN.
IWASAKI, Benigna is born in Germany but is a long-term resident of Japan. Her design work literally follows the principle of East-Meets-West. One of her favorite projects is to develop a set of omiyage souvenirs which are very useful to foreigners but embrace a piece of Japanese culture.

MIZUKAMI, Katsuo is a pottery artist from Tokoname close to Nagoya. Tokoname is famous for it’s pottery style and Katsuo has been featured on NHK programs. His creations perfectly embrace traditional Japanese craftsmanship and Japanese classic aesthetics without forgetting the requirements of modern life.
