HIROTA designed these glass straws in response to the demand for more eco-friendly products, both in- and outside of Japan. It is estimated that in the USA alone approximately 500 million straws are used and disposed of every day. More durable options such as stainless steel and bamboo have become increasingly popular over the years; but with the one becoming uncomfortably hot- or cold depending on the beverage, and the latter quickly producing mold on the inside, where you cannot spot it, glass straws might very well be the best alternative thus far.

Affordable, fashionable and durable, you can enjoy using these straws for a long time to come. The 15 cm option is ideal for smaller tumblers containing approximately 300ml.
