[100%] and [Absolute] may be the domain of Buddha or Gods and something unachievable by human means. However, when you aim for 100% and create something close, it moves the hearts of people and gives birth to an unwavering sense of value.
We trust our intuition and create a form that is true to our inspiration. We eliminate all excess and humbly pursue nothing less than “100%”.
Commercialization is not the end, we want to further improve and change, and continue to seek what arouses latent desire.
Born as the eldest son of a Buddhist priest, he received Buddhist training at SHOGAKUSAN SOJIJI Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect of Zen Buddhism, and qualified as a Buddhist priest while still in school. After graduating from college, he passed the U.S. Certified Public Accountant (California) exam and started working as an assistant accountant at a Japanese accounting firm in Los Angeles, where he was engaged in various accounting jobs.
In 2006, he established 100percent Inc. with his younger brother, and launched the design product label "100%" based on the concept of "Torihada Design", which debuted in London. The company has been expanding its business to wholesale to retailers in Japan and abroad.
In August 2013, he opened the Numazu branch, relocated the warehouse, and opened Mission Bay, a retail store that features Dutch baby pancaces, which he first encountered in the U.S., as its main menu item, along with lifestyle goods. In addition to expanding sales channels in Japan and abroad, he also provides design services and manages and organizes exhibitions.
