Collotype is an interesting fusion between French and Japanese discoveries. The printing process was discovered in France, about 150 years ago. It was a new style of printing that combines photography and printmaking and the results are one-of-a-kind. BENRIDO was established in 1887 in Kyoto, where they have been specializing in Collotype printing since 1905. With over a century of experience in the craft, they are one of the very few Collotype studios left, and the world???s only one that produces full-color photographic Collotype prints. They have won several awards and recognitions and have been responsible for many big art works and projects in Japan and abroad.

This is a postcard that reproduces the paintings drawn by Ryuyamajin by collotype printing.

From the work collection "Ruyamajin Piece Art Book" published by Convenience Hall in 1952, selected by Ryuyama people, we prepared 8 points that are perfect for postcards. For printing, the boards from those days were reused as they are, and each piece was hand-printed on Japanese paper.

Kitaoji Rozanjin

Meiji 16-Showa 34 (1883-1959). He is a genius artist who himself works on pottery, books and paintings and pursues beauty through food. At the Hoshioka Saryo, a ryotei restaurant run by Takeshirou Nakamura, the fourth generation of Convenience Hall, the talent of the advisor and head chef, Lushan, has been fully demonstrated, and has made a great difference.
