Description
This beautiful, traditional porcelain Teapot and cups are made in "Bizen" style; Bizen ware is a type of Japanese pottery most identifiable by its iron-like hardness, reddish brown color, absence of glaze, and markings resulting from wood-burning kiln firing. This artwork is Japan's oldest pottery making technique, introduced in the Heian period.
This style gives the Teapot a rough, but classic look, and the finishing makes that it has a firm grip and does not slip easily. A simple, yet beautiful piece of art with a long history that will add to your tea-drinking experience. The material will not wear easily and gets more beautiful every time you use it!
NOTE: KANEKO KOHYO collections are handmade per order and can take up to 1 month before they can ship.
