WHOLESALE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please note that we only work with established business. If you have not yet registered your business and / or have no website, please do NOT contact us.

Ordering

In order to place a wholesale order, we need to create a wholesale account for your business. If you don't have a wholesale account with us yet, please apply for it here. After your application gets approved, we will send you a User ID and password (you need to change the password when you login for the first time). When you login with your wholesale account our shop will display the products at wholesale prices. You will be able to purchase most NIHON ICHIBAN products at wholesale prices. Our minimum order amount for wholesale orders is 50,000 Japanese Yen, excluding shipping.

Payment

Payments have to be made in advance by credit card, PayPal or international bank transfer. Once the payment has been confirmed, we will start fulfilling your order. You can select the currency in which the product prices shall be displayed. Please note that you credit card or PayPal account will be charged in Japanese Yen as foreign currencies are only displayed for information purpose. Your credit card company might also apply a different exchange rate than the one used by NIHON ICHIBAN. 

Shipping

We offer shipping by Japan Post or DHL in our shop. You will find an overview on our shipping methods on our shipping policy. We also ship large wholesale orders by cargo up to full containers. We might be able to ship per your prefered carrier on request. 

Customs & other import fees

Shipping products from Japan can be subject to custom fees and other taxes in the country of delivery. These fees have to be borne by the buyer. Please contact your country's customs office to confirm which products and from what amount such fees apply. For orders shipped by DHL Express all information is transferred to customs electronically. Orders shipped by Japan Post have all information in a pouch attached to the parcel. We will support you in getting your order through customs by providing necessary documents such as commercial invoice, HS code, list of ingredients, etc.
If customs fees are not paid by the deadline set by the courier, the order may be destroyed or returned to Japan, in which case the shipping paid and food items expired during transit will not be eligable for a refund.
