This plate is designed to serve zaru soba (buckwheat) noodles. 
The tray is made of "Nezuko" wood; Thuja standishii, also called Japanese arborvitae.
Nezuko is a soft type of wood and one of the "Five Sacred Trees of Kiso". 

Dimensions: w:380mm D:220mm H:20mm

Recommendation: Serve 1 serving of zaru soba (about 80g to 120g approximately). The set also allows you to serve a side of e.g. tempura as a lunch set.
