TOKYO NOBLE
Lettuce Umbrella Vegetabrella
Lettuce Umbrella Vegetabrella
Description
Japan is the country of fake food and almost every restaurant has a window that displays fake models of their menu to attract customers. So it was just a matter of time until someone would invent an umbrella that looks like food.
The VEGETABRELLA, or 'Lettuce Umbrella' is a compact umbrella that looks like a romaine lettuce when closed. When opened it becomes a normal umbrella and in summer its UV filter also protects from sun tan. It is delivered with a small umbrella bag in the same "salad" design and is delivered in a box that resembles the packages used in Japan for wholesaling vegetables.
It is crafted by Tokyo Noble ??? a small family owned company from Tokyo that specialized in desinging and crafting order-made umbrellas. Customers in their Tokyo shop can choose umbrella components from hundreds of options and the umbrella will be assembled in front of the customer.
The umbrella itself is of very high quality and handmade. Although being very light it is very strong and hard to break. In case it does get damaged, Tokyo Noble offers a repairing service, to ensure durable quality items.
VEGETABRELLA was designed by Yurie Mano and the design company h concept.
