These cups from NOUSAKU are well known for retaining beautiful, creamy and long lasting beer foam created by the slightly rough texture of the casting finish! Made of pure tin, they have a natural matte beauty and they feel great in one's hand. It has traditionally been said that water in tin never spoils and that it makes alcohol taste better by removing its bitterness. The cups are also ideal for iced coffee and soft drinks!

Known as the most expensive metal after gold and silver, tin is very malleable and flexible. Though having nearly the whiteness of silver, it does not rust- or air tarnish easily. It is significantly antibacterial and known as a material with low allergic reactivity and high heat conductivity. Tin ware cooled in a refrigerator for 2-3 minutes will keep its contents fresh and cold.

<   NOUSAKU - Contemporary Japanese Metal Craft   >

NOUSAKU began metal casting in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture in 1916. Their beautiful items are based on techniques handed down over a 400 years of craftsmanship. With the aid of modern machinery, industrial technology and the cultivated wisdom of past masters, NOUSAKU achieves outstanding, innovative designs and top quality materials, while adhering to their extensive SDGs goals. Their tableware, sakeware and home decorations are made of brass, bronze and 100% tin.

Recommended care for TIN items:

- Do not put over fire or use in microwaves, as the melting point is low.
- Refrain from storing in the refrigerator > 30 minutes or in the freezer to avoid deterioration of the material.
- Not suitable for use in dishwashing or drying machines.
- Excessive bending and changing shapes may lead to cracks and breakage of the item.
