This Ume Plum Candy is handmade by CHINRIU - a specialist for condiments, pickles and sweets made of ume plum, red shiso and sakura cherry blossoms, established in 1871.

The candy has a beautiful mix of sweets and sour flavors thanks to the natural acid flavor of the plum, combined with brown sugar. It is a perfect, Japanese sweet for those do not like overly sweet candy, and fans of umeboshi and sweet-sour combinations. Made with natural sugar and seaweed-derived "agar agar" gelling agent, the candy is plant based and suitable for vegan and halal diets.  Made with pure umeboshi extract, it even contains some of the health benefits of our authentic Japanese umeboshi!  

Packed in a beautiful paper bag with a ribbon, it is ready for gift giving and makes for a nice Japanese souvenir that can be shared among friends.
