Description
This humidifier was inspired by the shape of a yacht and material of traditional masu sake cups. The unique shape is not only beautiful but also highly practical. The water in the container in the bottom is absorbed by the sheets where they evaporate six time faster than water in a bowl.
It also is very ecological since it is made from only natural materials and functions without making any noise or using any electricity. The hinoki cypress also diffuses a nice scent of wood. Please note that the level of humidification by no means matches the levels of electric humidifiers.
Masuya is a company specialized in the manufacturing of masu sake cups. It is located in Ogaki city, which accounts for about 80% of the production of masu cups in Japan. Masuya also developed a range of contemporary products inspired by masu cups made of Hinoki cypress.
