Morihan is a nori specialist, producing high quality nori sheets with traditional harvesting and drying methods, since 1901. They harvest their nori from the Ariake Saga area. Every year in January the harvest of that year comes in and the Morihan craftsman carefully check all seaweed to determine the quality, best way to dry and handle them, and to rank their different line-ups.
They pride themselves on using traditional, time- and skill based drying methods, rather than fast, modern heating machines, so that the unique, natural flavor profiles stay intact.
