These earrings are produced by Yamaguchi Atsuo, an artisan specialized in Japanese lacquer. He started creating Japanese Lacquer when he was 16 under his father guidance. He is now devoted to creating new lacquer products that can fit in our modern lifestyle.
In order to create these earrings, Mr Yamaguchi collaborated with a student of Tokyo's Women Art University: Oono Nanae. Made of paper covered with Lacquer, they are extremely light while being solid. Very elegant, they perfectly represent Japan thanks to the Crane Origami very often seen in Japan.
This product received the Good Design award in 2008.

These earrings are produced by Yamaguchi Atsuo, an artisan specialized in Japanese lacquer. He started creating Japanese Lacquer when he was 16 under his father guidance. He is now devoted to creating new lacquer products that can fit in our modern lifestyle.
