The coloring is not
"Coloring" is not painting, it is a traditional technique that uses the corrosiveness of copper and brass to control chemicals and flames to produce vivid colors. The craftsman has developed a traditional coloring technique that could only be expressed with cast products, and have succeeded in developing colors on thin copper plates of 1 mm or less. He is particular about the authentic colors drawn from copper and brass and continue to pursue possibilities.

The color of metal gives a sense of nostalgia even though it is modern.
The metal crafts and materials created by Orii have an aesthetic sense that is similar to the Japan's "wabi sabi" (a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay.???). It gives peace and calm to every space and scene.
