Raw Sugar "NAMAZATO", 400g

This raw sugar is made of the high quality sugar cane that has been harvested in Kasgoshima in Southern Japan. It's a pure crude sugar, with large granules, which do not only give an elegant, natural sweetness, but also a greatly satisfying texture; and is therefore often used as topping of pasteries and deserts. This raw sugar, furthermore, has natural umami, which makes it a wonderful ingredient for cakes and cookies.

Because raw sugar is not heavily refined, it has a higher natural molasse (rich in iron and natural absorption enhancers such as sulfur, fructose, and copper), minerals and vitamins content than table sugar, which results in a rich, complex flavor.
