Bancha tea is made of the second harvest of sencha tea leaves in early autumn. It has its own distinct flavor, which is a little bit stronger and more nutty than the first flush. The cup has a golden color.

Ejima Tea Company is a Japanese tea shop established 1661 in the castle city of Odawara and is now run by the 17th generation of the Ejima family. Ejima works with selected tea farmers from close by Shizuoka, one of the main production areas of Japanese tea. Most of these relations with tea farmers date since many generations. The Ejima line-up covers a broad range of Japanese teas.
