This Wind Chime, also called Furin in Japanese, represents a plover bird flying above wavy water. Called "?????? - Chidori" in Japanese, the plover are really often represented on Japanese crafts. The Chidori have been described in many old Japanese books but actually the kanji characters of Chidori can also be read as "???" meaning Thousand and ??? meaning Bird, the reason is that people used to refer to many types of small birds as Chidori in the past.

This Wind chime, also called Furin in Japanese, represents hortensia flowers in three colors. Hortensia are very popular in Japan for their beautiful colors. With the shiny aspect of the glass and its beautiful colors this wind chime is a perfect product for summer.

Thanks to its specific fabrication process the Edo Furin wind chimes produce a very nice sound. Since the drawing is made on the inside part of the glass, it won't deteriorate even when put outside. The sun reflecting on the glass looks especially beautiful.

Please beware: The bottom of each chime is left ragged, so that the chimes creates different sounds depending on where the bell hits the glass.
