This black T-Shirt is part of the Sake Brewery series of Kume Company and features the Kikuhime Brewery in Ishikawa prefecture. Kikuhime Brewery was founded at the end of the 16th century and since then keeps the tradition of making high quality sake.
Kikuhime literally means chrysanthemum 菊 (kiku) and princess 姫 (hime). The brewery's logo also features the chrysanthemum flower which is also printed on the sleeve of the T-shirt.

Kaga's Chrysanthemum Wine, which was said to be the most famous sake of the Japan, has been carefully protected by the cold and pure water of the sacred mountain Hakusan and the craftsmen who live in this area. This is one with the label of "Kikuhime", which was named with the intention of passing on this tradition to the present. The words of the predecessor "Yanagi Sake Brewery Honten" are placed in the same row, giving a sense of the tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation at the brewery and the expression of intention for the future. Kikuhime Joint Stock Company was the first to release Junmai sake brewed in the mountains in Japan, and pursued "the original taste of sake that makes the most of the umami of rice" and moved forward.

This collection is made in collaboration with traditional sake breweries. The t-shirts are decorated with the sake labels of brewers that have been "protecting" part of Japanese culture and brewing skills. The designs represent brewers from all over the country, established even during the Taisho or Meiji era, to celebrate the rich cultural history of Japan and to ensure their future by creating awareness with a younger, international audience.
