Fearful, yet humorous, this T-shirt is part of the Hokusai project of Kume T-shirt company. Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese artist for Ukiyo-e woodblock prints. This artwork represents a feeling of humor combined with dreadfulness. It is a classic, Japanese style drawing with a big HOKUSAI title on top.

"Eyes that look into bones."
It is one of only five that have been confirmed in the series "One Hundred Stories", which is called a hundred but does not know how much was drawn. It is a ghost story told in the Edo period, and we have printed Kohada Koheiji, which became the subject of novels and kabuki. The loveliness that comes out as you watch it, which makes you feel somewhat humorous while retaining the horror, is due to Hokusai's drawing ability and the richness of ideas that compose the scenes.
