This Wind chime, also called Furin in Japanese, is painted as a watermelon. Watermelon, or "Suika" in Japanese, is a strong symbol for summer in Japan, where the sweet, juicy treat is enjoyed by both kids and adult and used in a game called "suika wari" - which has the players spin around blindfolded and then having to hit the watermelon through the directions of cheering friends and family!

This Wind chime, also called Furin in Japanese, represents hortensia flowers in three colors. Hortensia are very popular in Japan for their beautiful colors. With the shiny aspect of the glass and its beautiful colors this wind chime is a perfect product for summer.

Thanks to its specific fabrication process the Edo Furin wind chimes produce a very nice sound. Since the drawing is made on the inside part of the glass, it won't deteriorate even when put outside. The sun reflecting on the glass looks especially beautiful.

Please beware: The bottom of each chime is left ragged, so that the chimes creates different sounds depending on where the bell hits the glass.
